No more signed books for awhile
If you went to my website, catherinemwilson.com, and couldn't manage to order autographed books, the reason is that my house burned to the ground in the CZU Complex Fire in California in August, 2020. I no longer have a place to store an inventory, so the sale of autographed books will be on hold for awhile. I haven't had a chance to update my website. That will have to wait until I have more time. I am still offering signed bookplates, but that too will take awhile because I have to order more of them. Also, if you have emailed me asking for signed bookplates and have not received an answer, please email me again. I also lost my email in the fire. Thank you for your patience.

I am so sorry that your house burned. I have been through 2 house fires in 11 months but I was lucky enough not to lose any books in tbe fire. However some of our pets didn't make it. I would trade every book I own for my cats back. Again so sorry for your loss.
Thanks so much. I'm so glad I had no animals to worry about.
When I heard about your loss I bought your series. I've read it 5 times. All I can say is I WANT MORE PLEASE! Best wishes to you
One of the best series I've read, Thank you for sharing this story with us!
You've gone dark during a time when the world needs voices like yours. I presume that you're rebuilding and settling in for her another fire season. Stay safe. Write when you can.
Dear Catherine,
I came looking for more books and saw your message about the fire.
I am so sorry for your loss.
I have read When Women Were Warriors so many times I have lost count. It is such a deep, moving story filled with wisdom and hope. It brings me peace during times of struggle.
Thank you for being the vessel for this and sharing it with us. 💚 Sending healing, peace and strength.
Dear Catherine, I heard rather than read your first Warriors book. The description interested me but seeing that Janis Ian was the narrator/interpreter sealed the deal. I'm so glad I listened to it. Do you think the other two books will be become audiobooks?
Re: future audiobooks. I have not yet given up trying to get Books II and III on audio. After the first book was done (in 2014--seems like a long time ago) both my producer and I had multiple challenges that prevented us from continuing the series with Janis. I have had a number of health problems, including a bout with lung cancer two years ago. I was just about to get to work on the audio books again when my house burned down. I think the Universe may be trying to tell me something, but I am stubborn, and it may yet happen.
For some reason I am unable to approve comments. Here is the latest:

Have you set up a fund to help restore your home and finance your wonderful collection of stories. I have reread When Women Were Warriors at least over 30 times over the last 6 years. Each time, I learn something special about myself and the world. It seems like the wisdom in your stories can’t be from a human, at least of this time. Your work means a lot to many. We are willing to support you if you need it.
I am currently trying to get the County of Santa Cruz to approve my rebuild. It is a long, frustrating process. Once rebuilding starts, I will post updates here and on Facebook for anyone interested, and I may well do a GoFundMe if necessary. Thanks to all my fans for their support. It is much appreciated.
I just finished “A Hero’s Tale” for the first time - this series was so meaningful to me that I don’t really have the proper words to convey my feelings.
All I can say is thank you.
I hope all is going well with your rebuild. :)
I'm currently reading the series and became curious who the author of these books that bring me so much joy (and peace and tears and so much more) is. Now I am reading this blog post and I am so sorry this happened to you! I hope the rebuild is going well. Thank you so much for this beautiful story, it means so much to me. Best wishes from Germany
It has been almost two years since the fire and no one in my neighborhood is rebuilding yet. I will soon be living in a trailer on my property while trying to deal with the requirements of the County of Santa Cruz that may prevent me from rebuilding my home any time soon. Once I am back on my land I'll post an update.
Hi there…I know you have a lot of support here. My wife and I listened to your first book. It was our ritual…lying in bed at night and listening just to one chapter. After the first book, we right always looked for the 2nd book on audio and of course it isn’t there. So, I purchased the 2nd book and then at night, we would trade off reading a chapter OUT LOUD…still in bed. Then we both had root canals and stopped reading for awhile. I saw your book and told her, let’s start back at the beginning!!! We haven’t read the 2nd book all the way through yet. I appreciate you writing to us this year in July. I used to live in California and understand about the fires. Your books mean a lot to a lot of people. Thank you for everything. Rhonda. Gavel@hey.com. That is gavel at hey.com.
